Lee, an Albany native, attended Williams College, where he played football and graduated in 1998 with a degree in History. After graduation, Lee attended the University of Connecticut School of Law. He concentrated his studies in Constitutional and Criminal Law and received his law degree in 2002.
After receiving his commission in the Marine Corps during law school, Lee returned to active duty in January 2003 and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. During his three and a half years on active duty with the Marines, Lee worked as a Judge Advocate, first in Legal Assistance, and then as the prosecutor for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. In September 2005, he deployed to Iraq as a Battalion Judge Advocate and was stationed in Fallujah until April 2006. Now a Lieutenant Colonel, he remains part of the Marine Corps Reserve, most recently as the Reserve Deputy Chief Defense Counsel of the Marine Corps and Liaison to the Defense Counsel Assistance Program.
Lee was admitted to practice in New York State in December 2002 and the District of Columbia in January 2008. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and he is certified to practice in all military courts.
Lee Kindlon is a nationally-recognized speaker on evidence in both state and federal court as well as state and federal gun laws. DERRICK HOGAN

Derrick Hogan is the Managing Partner of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s Binghamton office, where he primarily focuses his practice on both federal labor and employment and criminal law.
Derrick has experience in both federal and private employment law matters, handling cases involving discrimination and harassment in the workplace, disciplinary actions against federal employees, and representing federal employees who are under investigation. Derrick has handled many federal employment matters before the Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Merit Systems Protection Board, as well as appeals with the EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations.
Aside from his federal employment law background, Derrick has over ten years of criminal defense experience, representing clients facing a range of criminal offenses at both the state and federal levels, ranging from minor traffic violations to complicated murder cases. Derrick also provides a wealth of trial experience, including, but not limited to, cases involving high-level charges such as robbery, burglary, and various sex offenses. Derrick’s practice also extends to defending criminal charges in federal court, most notably, a case involving espionage that garnered widespread national media attention and became a hot topic of discussion during the 2016 Presidential Election.
Derrick’s legal knowledge also extends to multiple practice areas throughout Tully Rinckey PLLC, due in part to his previous role as a Client Relations Attorney. In 2009, Derrick was featured as an “Up and Comer” by the Times Union. He originally joined the Firm as a law clerk, and prior to joining Tully Rinckey PLLC, Derrick served as an intern for the Schenectady County Attorney’s Office, where his work focused on family court cases. Derrick was also a legal aide in the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where he dealt with lawsuits filed against the State by prisoners. Greg T. Rinckey is one of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s two founding partners. He worked with Founding Partner and fellow Hofstra University alum Mathew B.
