Best Social Security Disability Lawyer in Kansas
DANIEL A. PARMELE
Social Security Disability Lawyer
Over the past 2 decades of working in social security disability law, I believe my primary duty as a disability attorney is not to guarantee I will win every case, but to guarantee that I will always fight to win each case. I believe this can be done in a respectful manner, however, it is my goal that our Firm provides compassionate and zealous advocacy for every single client who gives us the opportunity to represent him or her.
Before starting his private practice as a disability attorney, Mr. Parmele worked with the Social Security Administration as a Senior Staff Attorney. He worked directly with the Administrative Law Judges (ALJs), helping them determine who would receive benefits and who would not. Often, he alone would bear the burden of issuing decisions for claimants. For years, Mr. Parmele witnessed firsthand the difficulties that worthy people faced as they tried to get Social Security disability benefits for themselves and their hurting families.
Roger M. Driskill
Social Security Disability Lawyer
People take their work and family obligations very seriously. Most enjoy the ability to produce, help, and provide a service in a job. When injuries, disease, or other medical conditions make it impossible to continue to work – there are government and insurance programs to help a person maintain a home and pay the ongoing expenses.
However, these government and insurance programs can many times be overwhelming and daunting.
It is a privilege to help people secure the benefits and income they deserve.
When I’m not at the office, my time is devoted to family, church, and a lot of reading. This world is interesting and I like to learn about it.

Jon Voegeli
Social Security Disability Lawyer
Jon got called up to Slape & Howard after a stint in the California Penal League, where he spent time in Del Norte County assisting public defenders and inmates at the infamous Pelican Bay State Prison. He never ran into “Wild Thing” Rick Vaughn. Since joining the firm in 2013, he has won a number of cases, arguments, and awards and also damaged every office chair that has been assigned to him. The running tally is three lost chairs, and no one mentions the mysterious exploding coffee pot.
What he lacks in grace he makes up for in tenacity, making his multitasking skills impeccable. He is generally found reading through a statute book while talking to a client and e-mailing a state representative some interesting facts about the current state of worker’s compensation in Kansas. He regularly discusses legislation with other practitioners through his role in the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association. He can often be seen in Topeka lobbying and testifying for the rights of injured working Kansans, and is just as tenacious in his legislative approach as he is in his litigation approach. He has taught case law to other practitioners at the Annual Kansas Worker’s Compensation Seminar for four years running and was recently asked to write about work comp case law for the KTLA journal.
WILLIAM L. PHALEN

Bill’s strong convictions have led to successful cases at the Court of Appeals and Kansas Supreme Court.
Most recently, Bill was lead attorney in the Bergstrom v. Spears Manufacturing case which overturned 17 years of case law previously unfavorable to injured workers. Bill is a past speaker at the annual Kansas Department of Labor, Kansas Workers’ Compensation Seminar, speaking in 2010 regarding the claimant’s perspective of independent medical examinations. He is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice, sitting on the work compensation section, Board of Governors and Eagles Membership. He is actively involved with numerous charities and civic organizations in Southeast Kansas, previously serving as Board of Directors and President of Pittsburg Main Street, Board of Directors of the Pittsburg Family YMCA, Board of Directors Housing for All, Board of Directors and President of the JL Hutchinson Youth Baseball, a founding member of the Pittsburg Community Foundation
