Jamie is a tireless advocate for employees who have experienced discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation in the workplace. She has a well-earned reputation for obtaining successful verdicts at trial, recovering significant financial compensation for her clients, and, most importantly, achieving justice.

Jamie has handled hundreds of employment-related cases and has dedicated her entire legal career to this practice area. She is particularly proud of the favorable jury verdicts that she has obtained for her clients. At one trial, Jamie represented a customer service representative in a pregnancy discrimination case. Her client was not offered leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act following the birth of her child, and instead was laid off with no job protection. After she returned to work, she was demoted to a role with lesser responsibilities and had her work hours reduced. Her client was terminated shortly after she complained that she felt that she was being discriminated against at work. The jury found in the client’s favor and awarded back pay, front pay, and punitive damages.

Jamie has also successfully represented clients in numerous sexual harassment cases. In 2019, Jamie took a sexual harassment case against the PA Department of Corrections to trial where her client was continuously sexually harassed by her supervisor. Although the client complained about the harassment repeatedly to her employer, nothing was done to protect her, and she was ultimately terminated from her employment. A jury found that she had been subjected to a hostile work environment and awarded her $275,000 in emotional distress damages.

Additionally, Jamie is experienced in representing employees in whistleblower retaliation cases. Most recently, on May 4, 2023, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court reversed the decision of the lower court dismissing whistleblower claims against the William Penn School District in what could be a landmark case. Jamie represents an employee of the School District who claims that he was demoted, and then not promoted, for complaining of various acts of wrongdoing that he observed and opposed in the workplace. Because of Jamie’s advocacy, the case has been remanded for trial.

Jamie has presented at several employment litigation conferences, including a course entitled “Basics of Employment Law: The FMLA and ADA – What Plaintiff and Defense Counsel Need to Know to Advise Their Client” for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

An eastern Pennsylvania native, Jamie is an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. She also has four beloved rescue dogs.
