Alex spent his childhood and early adulthood working for his father in title insurance in eastern Iowa. He obtained his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law. While in law school, he coached the college policy debate team, was President of the Moot Court Society, and was Executive Production Editor of the Indiana Health Law Review. He also clerked for a criminal law professor and a criminal defense attorney during law school.
After becoming a lawyer, Alex and his wife lived in Chicago, Mason City, Iowa, and Davenport, Iowa. In 2014, Alex joined the RT Cox Law Firm in Gillette, Wyoming, as an associate attorney. Tom Lubnau is a Wyoming native, born in Laramie on December 12, 1958. He grew up in Gillette and graduated high school from Campbell County High School in 1977. In 1981, he received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Wyoming and in 1984, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law. He thereafter began practice with his father, the firm’s namesake, who was also an attorney who had a successful career in Gillette. Tom has raised two fine children, Rachel and Thomas, in Gillette with his beautiful wife, Rita Lubnau.
