Andrea Vacca

Family Lawyer

I’m Andrea, and I believe it’s possible to resolve family law matters without tearing your family apart. Whether you are ending a relationship or trying to prevent potential problems in your current relationship, I want to help you reach your goals with minimal conflict.

I use a variety of non-adversarial strategies to set boundaries and resolve disagreements between couples who are divorcing as well as those making a commitment to marry or stay married. I get to know my clients, their concerns, and their goals for their future. I then assist them by crafting solutions to meet specific needs before, during, or at the end of a marriage. When serving as a mediator, I help both parties understand each other’s concerns, bridge their differences, and arrive at an agreement that works for both. Divorce agreements, prenuptial agreements, and postnuptial agreements involve much more than protecting assets. These agreements protect your future as well as your children’s future. The process you use to come to decisions with your partner, as well as what those decisions are, can affect you and your family for the rest of your life. By being educated on your options, you will be better prepared to make decisions that will allow you to move forward without regret.

Marcos Fernandez

Marcos Fernandez

Family Lawyer

Hi, I’m Marcos. I practiced in litigation for nearly a decade, the latter half exclusively litigating divorce actions.  I have seen the financial and emotional havoc hotly contested divorces wreak on families and have also seen how non-adversarial and collaborative tactics work to deescalate tensions and help families deal with unwinding their marriage compassionately. I joined the Vacca Family Law Group to help clients obtain their divorce with dignity and respect.

Marcos joined the firm in June of 2021. Immediately before joining, Marcos practiced as a traditional divorce attorney at boutique matrimonial firms located in New York City and Westchester County. Marcos is a certified trained mediator and collaboratively trained attorney. Having successfully litigated on behalf of clients, he is intimately aware of the dangers inherent in the adversarial process and the financial and emotional risks posed to families. Marcos began his career in commercial litigation before deciding to practice as a matrimonial attorney exclusively, experience which aids him in handling the complex and challenging financial dilemmas often associated with parties’ divorces. Marcos lives in Forest Hills with his wife, son and dog.
