These topics include the changing paternity laws in the State of Nebraska, and the complexities of dividing retirement accounts in divorce. In addition, Lindsay was awarded both of her degrees with distinction.

Adam Little

Adam Little grew up on a small farm in rural North Dakota, where he honed a strong work ethic and a down-to-earth attitude. Adam received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND in 2008. Adam remains an avid supporter of the NDSU Bison.
After graduating from NDSU, Adam relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend law school at the University of Nebraska College of Law. Adam received his Juris Doctorate Degree in 2012 and completed a Program of Concentrated Studies in both Intellectual Property and Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications law. While in law school, Adam was involved in the Student Bar Association, was a founding member of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, competed in the Grether Moot Court and Allen Moot Court competitions, as well as the ABA Mediation, Client Counseling, and Arbitration competitions. Adam was also a member of the UNL National Moot Court Team, reaching the regional semi-finals, and the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Team, which finished as national semi-finalists. Adam has volunteered his time coaching the Lachs Team since 2015.
He is licensed to practice in Nebraska, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. Adam’s expertise in cyber law and technology issues carries over into his practice, as well as his knowledge and experience in agriculture. Michael is originally from Delhi, Iowa, a small town located on the Eastern side of the state 40 miles west of the Illinois border. Michael is the last of four children and only son born to John and Lois Sands. Along with his sisters, Angela, Amy, and Jennifer, he attended Maquoketa Valley High School. While in school, he played football, basketball, track, and golf. During the summer when he wasn’t working construction, he enjoyed boating with his friends on Lake Delhi. After high school, Michael went to The University of Iowa where he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science.
Upon completion of undergraduate school, Michael attended Creighton University to obtain his Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration. While attending Creighton, Michael worked as a clerk under Matthew Wilber and Jon Jacobmeier at the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office in Council Bluffs, Iowa and later under Donald Kleine and Brenda Beadle at the Douglas County Attorney’s Office in Omaha, Nebraska. His first job out of graduate school was working as an Assistant Deputy Juvenile County Attorney with the Douglas County Attorney’s Office. After working as a prosecutor, Michael left to serve as a Senior Claims Counsel for a national title underwriter.

John A. Kinney

John Kinney chaired the Family Law Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association. He is a published author with two articles in the Nebraska Lawyer magazine: A Summary View of Property Division in Nebraska Divorce Cases” (May 2001). More recently, John published “LB654 and the Current State of Joint Custody in Nebraska” (June 2006). He served as a member of the Child Support Advisory Commission, which issued a report in January 2007 suggesting comprehensive changes to the Nebraska Child Support Guidelines.
Most of John’s clients would be hard pressed to guess that he attended Boston College, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) in 1989 with a double major in English and Political Science.
