Donald A. Friedlander
Divorce Lawyers
Donald Friedlander was born in Mobile, Alabama, in 1942. He is a 1960 graduate of Murphy High School, a 1964 graduate of the University of Alabama and a 1967 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. After law school, he served in the United States Army from 1967-69, reaching the rank of Captain. He then returned to Mobile to practice law. He worked for the Mobile County district attorney’s office and the law firm of Tyson, Marr and Friedlander before opening his own firm in 1971, where he remains today.
Donald is one of the most experienced and respected lawyers in the Mobile area. He has successfully tried hundreds of cases and represented thousands of clients in many different areas of the law. Unlike many experienced attorneys, who prefer to sit in the office, he still appears in court almost every day, where he is known as a fiery and relentless advocate for his clients. He is also known for his ability to come up with new legal arguments and theories. While he practices primarily criminal defense, personal injury, bankruptcy, divorce and family law, he takes pride in having an extensive knowledge in many fields instead of focusing on just one or a few areas. This gives him an advantage in dealing with attorneys whose knowledge is limited to one specialty, and gives his clients the benefit of an attorney who can advise them in several areas.
Donald is licensed to practice in all Alabama state, federal, and municipal courts and in the United States Supreme Court. He is also a notary public in Mobile County. He practices primarily in Mobile County and Baldwin County, Alabama.
When he is not in court or in the office, Donald can be seen jogging on the streets of Mobile, boating, kayaking, fishing, skiing and spending time with his friends and family.
