She began her legal career as a prosecutor in the Cobb County Judicial Circuit prosecuting criminal misdemeanors. Phyllis founded PhyllisLaw in 2006 and has remained the sole owner and operator. Phyllis serves as Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Smyrna. She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, and Georgia Tech Bar Association. Phyllis is actively involved in her local community as well. A former prosecutor and litigator with extensive trial experience, Keith’s practice focuses primarily on complex civil litigation, insurance recovery and insurance bad faith litigation, and white collar criminal defense. His experience includes litigating criminal and civil cases at the trial and appellate levels, defending individuals and companies in civil and criminal investigations, criminal prosecutions and regulatory disputes.
For five years, Keith served as a criminal prosecutor, first as an Assistant Solicitor in Cobb County, and then as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County. During that time, he served as lead counsel for the government in more than thirty jury trials, and earned the 2003 “Trial Attorney of the Year” award from the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.
Keith earned a degree in history from Duke University and his juris doctorate from the Duke Law School. Since 2008, he has served as a visiting professor at Georgia Tech, where he teaches a criminal law segment for a class on legal practice for undergraduates considering law as a career.
