Anthony A. Fatemi

Divorce Lawyers

Anthony A. Fatemi, Esq. is the founder and principal of Anthony A. Fatemi, LLC, which was founded in 1999. Mr. Fatemi and his legal team practice in the areas of Immigration, Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury.

In the area of Immigration, Mr. Fatemi and his legal team have extensive knowledge and experience in handling both business and family based immigration matters including adjustment of status, Naturalization, H1-B, PERM, and Investor’s visa (EB-5). Mr. Fatemi has also represented and defended hundreds of immigration clients who have found themselves before the immigration court for matters such as deportation, removal, and Asylum. Over the years, he has worked tirelessly to help his immigration clients fend off deportation and removal from the United States. Mr. Fatemi has played an important role in keeping many families intact, happy, and safe here in US.

Mr. Fatemi also assists individuals, corporations, and fellow attorneys in resolving complex problems related to United States Immigration Law and dealings with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) , United States Department of State, and United States Embassies and Consulates around the world.

Often clients need assistance in more than one area of law. For example, a person who is facing deportation proceedings before the immigration court, also may need assistance filing a Petition for Post-Conviction Relief or a Petition for Writ of Error Coram Nobis in state court because a prior conviction has triggered deportation proceedings. Clients who require assistance in several different courts and across several areas of law are comforted by the fact that Mr. Fatemi and his legal team are able to handle all of their legal problems. These clients don’t have to deal with the stress of finding a second attorney, having to communicate with two separate law offices, and worrying that one attorney may not fully understand what the other is doing.

S. David Elling

Divorce Lawyers

I have been practicing for 40 years and during that period of time I have done my best to treat each client and represent them as if they were my own family. As I discuss each case with each client, after carefully reviewing and assessing the situation, I try to imagine myself sitting on the other side of my desk and advise accordingly. Obviously, it is important to understand the law and how it applies to each individual situation/set of facts however, it is equally as important to be able to not only apply the law, but apply a large dose of common sense and being able to think out of the box. In other words, the solution or remedy to many cases can often be ascertained with a common sense, pragmatic approach. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I have an especially high approval rating from my clients, with a tremendous amount of repeat business and referrals, particularly since I have not advertised in the past. Moreover, given my extensive experience and familiarity with the legal community in the area, my legal fees are relatively modest. Simply stated, that is what I believe I offer to potential clients.

The need for a skilled and experienced divorce lawyer, particularly for fathers in Germantown or anywhere else, arises from the complexities and emotional challenges that can be involved in divorce proceedings. Here are some reasons why having the best divorce lawyer for fathers is important:

  1. Child Custody and Support: Child custody and support issues can be contentious and emotionally charged. A skilled lawyer can advocate for a father’s rights to maintain a meaningful relationship with their children and ensure fair child support arrangements.

  2. Equitable Property Division: Dividing marital property can be complicated, especially when there are significant assets involved. A knowledgeable lawyer can help protect a father’s interests and ensure a fair division of assets and debts.

  3. Spousal Support: Depending on the circumstances, spousal support (alimony) might be a factor in the divorce. A skilled attorney can help determine whether spousal support is applicable and work towards a fair arrangement.

  4. Legal Procedures and Paperwork: Divorce involves a lot of legal paperwork and processes. An experienced lawyer can navigate the legal system, file necessary documents, and ensure that everything is done correctly to avoid potential delays or mistakes.

  5. Negotiation and Mediation: Many divorces can be settled through negotiation or mediation rather than going to trial. A seasoned lawyer can effectively negotiate on behalf of the father to reach a settlement that aligns with his best interests.

  6. Complex Legal Knowledge: Family law can be complex, with various statutes, regulations, and case law involved. A skilled divorce lawyer understands these intricacies and can provide the necessary guidance to ensure that fathers are protected under the law.

  7. Emotional Support: Divorce is an emotionally challenging process, and having a lawyer who understands the emotional aspect of the situation can provide valuable support and guidance.

  8. Strategic Planning: A divorce lawyer can help fathers create a strategic plan for the divorce proceedings, considering both immediate and long-term goals. This includes protecting the father’s financial interests and ensuring a stable future.

  9. Representation in Court: If the divorce case ends up in court, having a skilled lawyer to represent a father’s interests can be crucial. An attorney can present the case effectively and advocate for the father’s rights before a judge.

  10. Minimizing Mistakes: Divorce-related decisions can have long-lasting effects. A knowledgeable lawyer can help fathers avoid making mistakes that could impact their financial well-being, parental rights, and future prospects.

Remember, the term “best divorce lawyer” doesn’t necessarily mean the most expensive or well-known attorney. It refers to a lawyer who is experienced in family law, empathetic to your situation, and skilled in achieving positive outcomes for their clients. It’s important to research and interview potential lawyers to find the one who is the best fit for your specific needs and circumstances.
