Leo F.J. Wilking
Family Lawyer
I have over 35 years of trial experience in the state and federal courts of North Dakota and Minnesota. In addition, as an assistant attorney general for the State Tax Department, and a special assistant attorney general for North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance, I have participated in more than 300 administrative hearings.
My approach to the practice of law is to listen to the needs and concerns of my client, analyze the legal issues involved, recommend the best course of action, and then represent my client’s interests aggressively. Litigation can be prolonged, expensive and emotionally draining, and I want to minimize those aspects of the legal process for my clients as much as possible.
I graduated from Harvard College and received my law degree from Fordham University School of Law. I have served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, and as president of the Cass County Bar Association. My wife, Martha Leclerc, is vice president of contracting and strategic reimbursement for Sanford Health. We have three children.
